When selling your home, and advertising it online, it’s advisable to do a little research onto your local market. What are people looking for? How long are houses taking to sell? What’s the average age of the buyer in your area? It’s good to know these things, so you can tailor your sales pitch to the right audience. Is there a young average for buyers in your neighbourhood? You can probably play down the advantage of having only one floor. Is it an older average age group looking for retirement in your area? The football pitch out the back may not be relevant.

The terminologies vary from country to country, but it means the same - a valuation for your property. Most buyers will want to get there own valuations, but you should get your own first - that way you’ll avoid any unpleasant surprises and can fix any issues that may arise before you put your property on the market. A qualified home inspector / real estate valuer will let you know what your house is worth, and what you can realistically expect for your property.
